I am Roy Schor, a dynamic, ambitious, and fast-learning software engineer. I travel and blog my experiences. I volunteer in various fields. Most of all I create apps in my free time and am building my freelance career.
Campus Map is an app designed for Penn State Students by a Penn State Student.
It allows a user to locate any building on the Main PSU Campus.
When a building is selected its pin is displayed on the map. Tapping this pin displays the name, year-constructed,
and image of the building. A route to this building from their current location or another set location can be generated.
The user can pin any location on the map and swipe between standard, hybrid, or satellite map views.
Word Wizz is an app that allows the user to play between two versions of scramble.
The Regular Scramble Game or the New York Times Scramble Game, each having their own
game modes and rules.
Available in English, Spanish, or French.
The stock market’s spikes and downfalls have mystified people since its inception,
with nothing, machine or human, able to predict its future effectively. An AI Network
called Aladdin controls over 7% of the entire world’s financial assets, which is almost
the size of the U.S.’s total GDP!
I thought, why not take a crack at it?
A European travel guide was created in an SQL database management class as the final project.
The goal was to apply our understanding of SQL to a hands-on project with a real-world application
and UI.
Created with test driven development practices.

I am an ambitious and energetic individual; always looking for something to keep me busy.
As such, I've devoted a large part of my free-time to volunteering in various fields.
I've in volunteered anywhere from a zoo to an army base and everything in between.
Here's a glimpse of some experiences I wanted to highlight!
Winter 2024
Due to a shortage of workers, crisis, and many other factors I found myself
volunteering on farms and other areas across Israel between my school semesters.
2021-2024
THON is the world's largest student-run philanthropy. Raising tens of millions of dollars
for children with cancer to receiver better treatment. I helped the operational side of the
organization as well as raising donations.
Summer of 2015
I learned to take care of animals ranging from goats to kangaroos and penguins.
In addition to feeding, cleaning, and keeping the animals safe, I showed the
daily visitors the beauty in maintaining healthy, happy, and prosperous animals.
If you know me, you know I love quotes and the occasional fun fact (but mainly quotes).
They are anything from inspirational and insightful to depressing. But I love them nonetheless.
So if you're bored and intrigued grab a quote.
